The Travel Intelligence Hotel Booking Service
The Travel Intelligence Hotel Booking Service is based in London, and we specialise in sourcing and advising on character hotels around the world. We generally do not book flights, nor are we a discount broker, and for shorter stays and itinerary bookings (i.e. more than one hotel) we generally charge a booking fee, though in many cases we are able to save clients money by negotiating promotional rates. However, if you are looking for a budget hotel and don't care much about where you stay, you have arrived at the wrong place! That's not to say that price is not a factor - rather, it means we look for character first, and, where necessary, we are prepared to pay a premium for it. We want to attract like-minded people as clients.

There are other benefits of booking with us. First, we speak many of the languages - well, not all, but at least French, Italian, Spanish, German, Portuguese and Arabic. Second, we have developed close relationships with many of the hotels we recommend, so we are often the first to be offered good rates, and in addition our clients are treated well - not least because our reviews and selections are widely read. Third, we can help with other elements of your trip - we can recommend and book good restaurants, arrange private guides to show you around, and arrange car hire and travel insurance. Four, if you want to book a hotel or flight/hotel package in an area where others do it better, we say so, and refer you to a specialist who we know will offer the best service. For example there are hundreds of safari operators - with the help of our writers, we know the handful that really know their onions. And last - the writers. They travel widely, all the time, both on magazine assignments and on their own adventures, and we are amongst the first to know about special little hideaways in far away places. These do not always appear in our web selections in a hurry, not least because we do not have enough hours in the day to load them all up at once, but also because we like to have time to assess them. Clients are often a key part of this assessment.

Booking Conditions
The following is a brief outline of our general terms and conditions: 1. Travel Intelligence Ltd (TI) acts solely as a booking agent for the hotel(s) it books. We neither represent individual hotels, nor make any warranties as to their suitability. 2. When you book a hotel through TI, TI may charge a separate booking fee for the work undertaken in researching and booking hotels on your behalf. Once you have confirmed the reservation, this booking fee becomes payable and is non-refundable. 3. Where payment or a deposit is due in advance to a hotel or to Travel Intelligence for accommodation, this will be advised at the time of booking, and will be itemised. All advance deposits or payments to Travel Intelligence, to a total not to exceed 15% of the total booking value, are non-refundable, except where you are informed otherwise in writing. If a reservation is cancelled within one month of arrival at the hotel, 100% of deposits or payments made in advance to Travel Intelligence become non-refundable. All deposits or payments in advance to hotels are subject to the terms and conditions of that hotel’s cancellation policy. 4. Where no advance payment or deposit is required, TI will take a credit card number on behalf of the hotel to guarantee the reservation. You are then subject to the terms and conditions of the hotel’s cancellation policy. Further, if no booking fee has been levied and the booking is subsequently cancelled, Travel Intelligence shall be entitled to charge a cancellation fee of 20 GBP. 5. TI accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of the hotel listings published on its web-sites or in its newsletters and books. Reviews and descriptions are supplied by third parties and in some cases the hotels themselves, and we accept no responsibility for advice given or facilities listed.
